Frequently Asked Questions
What we make, how we make it, and what to expect when you order.
What kinds of covers do you offer?
Matte and gloss case-wrap hardcovers, perfect-bind paperbacks, and our cloth-bound (linen wrap) heirloom edition with real gold-foil stamping in navy, black, forest, or burgundy. We do NOT currently offer genuine leather, imitation leather, or gilt-edge paper.
Why no leather?
Our print partner does not offer leather, and we did not want to outsource quality control to a third producer. Cloth-wrapped (linen) covers with gold foil are durable, ethical, and meaningful — and far less expensive than premium leather. If genuine leather is essential, we recommend Schuyler, Crossway Heirloom, or R. L. Allan.
What translations are available?
We typeset seven public-domain English translations: King James Version (KJV), World English Bible (WEB), American Standard Version (ASV, 1901), Douay-Rheims (DRA, includes deuterocanonical books), Revised Version (RV, 1885), Berean Standard Bible (BSB), and Geneva Bible (GNV, 1599). Modern translations like ESV and NIV are not in the public domain and are not available.
How long does an order take?
Production typically takes about 5 business days. Standard ground shipping inside the U.S. adds 5–10 business days, expedited options ship in 2–4 days. Bulk orders of 100+ copies may add a few days of production time — we will quote a precise window on your order confirmation.
What is the minimum order?
One copy. We have no setup fees and no minimum quantity for direct-to-consumer orders. Bulk pricing kicks in automatically at 10 copies and improves at 25, 50, 100, 250, and 500 copies.
How are bulk discounts calculated?
Our pricing engine reduces our margin progressively as quantity increases. The unit price you see in the builder is final — it already includes printing, fulfillment, and our margin. There is no separate setup fee or proof fee.
How long can a single Bible be?
Up to about 700–800 printed pages per volume, depending on binding. Full Bibles often run longer, so we offer two-volume sets for translations like the KJV, with the Old Testament and New Testament bound separately.
Can I see my Bible before I order?
Yes. The live preview in the builder shows your cover (color, ornament, title, name), spine, page count, and trim size. After checkout we generate a final print-ready PDF that we will email you on request before sending it to the press for any bulk order over 25 copies.
Do you offer ribbons or gilt-edge paper?
Not at this time. The on-screen preview shows a small ribbon for premium tiers as a visual marker only. Sewn-in ribbons and gilt edges require traditional Smyth-sewn binding which is not available through our print partner.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Lulu xPress fulfills orders worldwide. International shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
What is your return policy?
Because every Bible is custom-printed for you, we cannot accept returns for change-of-mind. If your Bible arrives damaged or with a printing defect, contact us at orders@parkbenchpublishing.com within 30 days and we will reprint and ship a replacement at no charge.
How do I report a security issue?
Email security@parkbenchpublishing.com. See our security.txt at /.well-known/security.txt for our disclosure policy.
